UFOs photographed from jetliner at 40,000 feet

On February 24th, 2006, a poster at the Unexplained Mysteries forum reported a sighting of several unexplained objects from the window of the passenger jet in which he was flying at about 40,000 feet. ‘Buddy’ had the wherewithal to use his camera phone to snap several pictures. Here are his own words, describing what happened:

I was taking a plane which departed to Florida at 6am from JFK airport, New York. It was about 6:20am when I looked out the plane window and saw something flying next to us. I was watching it for a minute before I noticed it split into 2 different objects. Then it split again into 3 disk shaped objects... Then they started to form a V shape. While I was still looking out the window, they split into 4 UFOs. Then a fifth one appeared. I was taking pictures of all this for about 5 minutes. I have all the pictures on my phone. All the pictures I have are taken 1 minute apart from each other, except from when a 3rd one appears - it's taken at the same time as the previous pictures. The first time I saw it was at 6:23 am 23rd February, 2006. It lasted a total of 5 minutes. The last picture before they disappeared was taken at 6:28am 23rd February, 2006... This is 100% real because when it comes to UFOs and aliens I'm the one to be, like, looking at the sky to get a glimpse of something.

(His dad confirmed to him that they were flying at over 40,000 feet at the time, so they were not likely to be birds.)

Here are the pictures he snapped:

He also had the foresight to take photographs of some of the images actually on his mobile phone to show how they had not been tampered with:

While the images are not of the best quality, they are fascinating as they were taken at high altitude and appeared to show flight characteristics unlike normal aircraft.

Doubters have suggested that what we are seeing are reflections from inside the cabin, planets, other airliners and the Moon. ‘Buddy’ is adamant that what he saw was outside the aircraft and what is in the photographs is what he saw for a five minute period.

UFOData is reproducing the images for you to make up your own mind, but I for one find them compelling and, potentially, important evidence.
